Is This an Insurance Claim?
Five questions on whether what you are seeing is likely to be a claim.
Start the quiz
Storm damage, ordinary wear and a maintenance issue all look similar from a driveway and get handled completely differently. Five questions, no email, and the answer is allowed to be that you do not have a claim.

This looks like a storm claim worth documenting
Dented soft metal after a storm is the signal that hail was large enough to matter, and that is worth photographing properly before anything else happens. A free inspection gets you a written scope you can hold next to whatever your carrier writes.

Your claim is probably short, and that is usually fixable
A first estimate is written from one adjuster visit and routinely misses line items. Getting them added is called a supplement and it is a documentation job. We keep a supplement manager on staff for exactly this, including on claims another roofer opened and abandoned.

This reads as a leak rather than a claim
Water almost never enters directly above the stain it leaves. It gets in at a flashing, a boot or a valley and travels. That is a repair rather than a replacement most of the time, and finding the actual entry point is the whole job.

This sounds like a roof reaching the end of its life
Age on its own is not damage, and plenty of roofs have more life in them than their owners assume. A free inspection tells you how many years are realistically left, and if the answer is several, that is what we will tell you.

If You Want the Real Number
Nothing to start.
The inspection is free whether or not you hire us.
- 01
Free inspection
A roof cannot be judged from the ground, and plenty of them turn out to have years left. The visit costs nothing either way.
- 02
The claim, if there is one
A carrier pays against a scope written in its own estimating format, so that is the format the damage has to be documented in. Somebody here does that full time.
- 03
Scope and color
You get a written scope before anything starts, and color boards go up against the house rather than being chosen from a brochure.
- 04
Tear off and rebuild
The old roof comes off, the deck gets inspected while it is visible, and the new system goes on. Most single family roofs are one or two days.
- 05
Permits and inspection
Our office manager handles permits and the city inspection. It is administrative and it is the part that quietly goes wrong when nobody owns it.
- 06
The magnet pass
Drive, lawn and beds, checked before anyone leaves the site.
I had one more roofer I started with for hail damage but quit after the claim was filed and money rendered partially. Dustin reviewed the whole claim and adjusted the claim for overlooked items and in the end got more money from insurance. Dustin was very clear in explaining the process start to finish, responded to any questions dealing with HOA and ensuring town inspection was performed. Definitely recommend his company for any roofing needs.
