Plano
Plano built out in waves, and roofs age in those same waves
Plano grew explosively from the seventies through the nineties, and it grew by subdivision. A neighborhood off Legacy or Parker went up over two or three years, which means the roofs on it went on over two or three years, and thirty years later they reach the end of their lives over two or three years.
That is why a street here can go quiet for a decade and then see six roofs replaced in one summer. It is not a coincidence and it is not a sales tactic. If your neighbors are getting quotes, the arithmetic that applies to their roof applies to yours, whether or not a storm was involved.
The free inspection is the same in Plano as it is anywhere else we work.
One hail cell puts an entire street into claim at once
North Texas hail is narrow. A cell can run down one side of a collector road and leave the other side with nothing but rain, which is why "did it hit us" is answered from a ladder rather than from a weather map.
When it does hit a Plano subdivision, it hits a hundred near-identical roofs of near-identical age simultaneously. Carriers process those claims in bulk and adjusters walk a great many roofs in a short window, which is exactly the condition under which a first scope gets written thin. That is the moment supplementing matters most.
Mature trees, tight lots, and where the crew parks
The older Plano neighborhoods have narrow streets, mature canopy and driveways that do not accommodate a dumpster and a material drop without planning. It is a logistics detail rather than a roofing one, and it is the sort of thing that annoys neighbors when nobody has thought about it. Raise it at the estimate and it gets planned rather than discovered on the morning.

Roofing contractor in Plano, answered
Half my street is getting new roofs. Should I be worried about mine?
Worth a look, yes. Subdivisions here were built in tight windows, so the roofs age together. That is true whether or not there was a storm.
How do I know if the hail actually reached my block?
Check the soft metal. Gutters, vents, garage doors and window screens dent where shingles only lose granules. If those are marked, get the roof looked at.
Where will the dumpster go on a narrow street?
Usually on the drive. Where a drive will not take one, access has to be planned around the street, the canopy and where the material can be dropped, so tell us at the estimate and we will walk it with you then.
Let's work together
Get up there and find out.
We walk the roof, photograph what is on it, and tell you whether it is a claim, a repair, or nothing yet. No charge for any of those three answers.
